This painting shows Mount Dag, Valhalla Mountains as seen from Silverton, British Columbia, during an evening thunderstorm. Mount Dag is part of the Valhalla Mountain Range located in Southeastern BC. The name Dag or Dagr is the divine personification of the day according to Norse mythology. All of the Mountains in the Valhalla’s are named after characters based on Norse Mythology.
The image above shows the Mount Dag painting on a standard-height, 8-foot wall to give you perspective on the size.
