A painting of Howse Peak

Howse Peak in the Moonlight, acrylic on canvas by Anthony Neilson

30″ x 40″   76 cm x 102 cm

This is an abstract interpretation of Howse Peak in the moonlight floating in the night sky. I tried to reduce the mountain down to it’s basic shapes and features. I like using the moon in my paintings and photographs, although it’s easier to paint than to capture in a photograph. Check out some of my photographs of the moon and landscapes here.

The image above shows the Howse Peak painting on a standard-height, 8-foot wall to give you perspective on the size. If you click on the painting, it will open a link that will allow you to zoom in closer to the painting.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my work!
