Odaray Mountain, Lake O’hara, Canadian Rockies, during a fall storm

This is a painting of Odaray Mountain, close to lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. It shows the mountain revealing itself as the sun pushes away the remnants of a fall storm. I was trying to describe the visual impact of the colours at this time of year with the interaction of the light on the mountain. The main feature of this mountain is the Tarrant Buttress. The Right skyline when looking at the painting. The two images below show the mountain when seen from Lake Oesa. The painting shows a closer perspective from around Morning Glory Lakes.
